8th Grade Social Studies
Students will cover topics from the Civil War through Vietnam. The goal is always to reach present day topics, but time is a limiting factor. The events of September 11th and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are covered before and after September 11th. Information on the current chapter being studied, upcoming quizzes and/or tests, projects, and access to the chapter key terms and notes will be posted.
All 8th grade students are required to pass the U.S. Constitution Test and the Illinois Constitution Test.
U.S. -- This test has 85 multiple choice questions and a 15 point essay question. The U.S. Constitution Unit contains notes and key terms from Chapter 7, information from their Citizenship Handbook, and class notes.
